New Way Trucks Names Jimmie Veach As Plant Manager of Booneville Facility
12.18.19
Scranton, IA (December 18, 2019) – One month ago, New Way Trucks announced that they are expanding manufacturing operations to a 152,000 square foot facility in Booneville, Mississippi. Along with pushing forward with facility preparations, New Way is pleased to introduce Jimmie Veach as the facility’s Plant Manager. In his new role, Veach will be responsible for maintaining the quality of New Way’s product, forming production schedules, and handling the day-to-day operations.
With 20 years of solid waste industry experience, Veach has been involved in various areas of production, engineering, service, sales, and quality control. During his time in the trade, he has had success in setting up manufacturing facilities and helping companies grow – bringing one plant online in San Luis, Mexico, for a refuse truck manufacturer in 2014.
Veach is ready to make an impact at New Way Trucks, with plans to assist in product and production improvements. “I am proud to be a part of a team that is excited to expand an already successful business, by providing a quality and innovative product for the end-user,” said Veach.
“We are excited to have Jimmie join the New Way team! He is highly regarded in the industry and brings years of solid waste management experience,” said Don Ross, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for McLaughlin Family Companies and New Way Trucks. “Jimmie has already started building a great team of people to lead our new Mississippi facility, and we believe he will help us continue to design, develop, and build the most state-of-the-art equipment for our customers.”
New Way’s Mississippi expansion ushers in the next chapter of growth for the company. The Booneville site was selected for several reasons, including its move-in ready capabilities and workforce availability in the surrounding areas. This project is slated to initially create 100 jobs. The refuse truck manufacturer and Veach have already met with workforce partners in a recent visit to New Way’s headquarters in Scranton, Iowa.
